These are great to track your spending for the month.
The point of it is not to spend anything on things you want. (of course still spend money on groceries and things you actually need!!) I use mine with sticky colour mark it dots.
I use this insert to track my spending and also use it to save as well. Red dots for not spending anything and I use blue dots for money that has gone into the money tin (I also write how much I put into the money tin on the sticky dot).
You can keep track any way you want using this insert.
