Etsy Shop Now Open: Lifeorganised

I have created an Etsy Shop! You can find it here! [Lifeorganised)

How & Why?
I was designing a Filofax insert for myself and while I was creating, I thought about selling it. I know I'm no where near as good as most people I know out there, because I love how creative them people are. I'm still a learner but hoping to get better over time. I love to share...so I have opened a Etsy Shop and I will be selling my inserts for a very cheap price. I will keep adding more and more, and hope to get more advanced with the designing. Hope you pop along and take a look :)

Thank you so much for all the people who support me. xoxo

Here are the inserts I've designed so far with examples of how I've used them...

The Penpal Planner Filoflex Set up

So just a super quick post ....

Here is the other idea of how to use the Filoflex (Flex by Filofax)...

Penpal Planner!

I'm going to buy another Filoflex to use as a Penpal planner. I thought the Filoflex was really suited for this idea, as it has all the pockets for the things needed to write out letters and send them off.

Penpal planner items inside the Filoflex:
  • 'The Penpal Files' Notebook (which has names and addresses in, and a profile page)
  • Envelopes
  • Pretty letter paper or note paper
  • Stamps
  • Address labels
  • Stickers
  • Mail tag cards (Journal cards)
  • Penpal letters received
  • Washi tape
  • Receipts (to keep track who sent to)

Inside 'The Penpal Files' notebook

Easy to write letters when inside the Filoflex

I didn't have pretty paper to use at the time of taking the photos, so can use pretty A5 paper.

Stickers & Extras in left side pocket

Penpal letters & Stamps/labels in middle pocket

Envelopes in right side pocket

Everything in the Filoflex

Thanks for reading! xoxo

If you want to read my Blog post of how I set up my Filoflex as a Weekly Planner, please click here!

My FiloFlex Set Up

I am a Total Planner Addict!
I can never decide which planner I want to use.

At the moment I have 3 main planners that I use...
  • Personal size Filofax - I look at in the morning and plan on the evening. Also its my out and about planner.
  • Bullet Journal - I use this all the time. I pretty much never stop writing in it. Its like my brain dump.
  • Flex by Filofax (Filoflex) - I use it weekly for planning.

This Blog post is about how I've set up my Filoflex :) Stay tuned!

I love the Flex by Filofax.
They say there is one million different ways to use a Filoflex.
I kept writing down ideas of how to use mine. I had so many different uses but came up with two I really like. The problem is I only have one Filoflex at the moment so I will definitely be buying another. (I'll post about my Filoflex I'm using at the moment, and my other idea will be on another blog post).

There are different sizes to the Filoflex, I have the A5 size which I wanted to use for home as big enough to fit the things I wanted in it.
You can buy the flex by Filofax from the Filofax website.
It comes with a ruled notebook, a jotting pad and a pen loop board which can be moved around in the different pockets.
To see what I'm talking about, please click here!

What I keep in my Filoflex -
  • Bullet Journal - stored in there when I'm not using it
  • Shopping lists (Blank)
  • Meal Weekly Plan sheet / Groceries check sheet
  • Monthly Calendar planner (DIY binded pages together)
  • Blog Plan sheet
  • Weekly inserts for my Bullet Journal (I stick them in the Bullet Journal)
  • Daily/Weekly inserts for my Personal Filofax (stored in here so when I weekly plan I can straight away write on them and plan my week and then put them in my Personal Filofax)
  • Journal Prompts list (Just the questions and then I answer them in another Notebook I have)
  • Pens/Sticky tape in a very cheap case (which I do want to upgrade on :) )
  • Ideas Journal

Yes it all does fit into the Filoflex!! Its so nice to have all my weekly things I need in there, ready to plan.

Here are more pictures, so you can actually see what is in my Filoflex!!

Daily inserts for my Personal Filofax
These Daily inserts are from DIYfish on Etsy.

You get a set of 9 un-dated inserts, which includes:
  1. Month on 2 pages
  2. Week on 2 pages
  3. Day on 2 pages
  4. To do list
  5. Finance pages
  6. One divider
  7. Labels
  8. Weather stickers
  9. Stickers (different designs and sizes)

Blog Plan sheet
This Blog Plan sheet is from on Etsy.

I use these to plan my Blog posts out as a draft. I plan my Blog posts weekly and keep them in a bundle in the Filoflex, ready to blog when I get the chance.

Monthly Calendar DIY Planner
The Monthly pages are from PolkaDotPosie on Etsy. She actually custom made these for me and also custom made Weekly pages as well, which I stick in my Bullet Journal.

I have binded the Monthly pages together with note pages, with my wire binding machine.

Colour code for Monthly Calendar:

  • Black - Every day use
  • Blue - Birthdays
  • Red - Appointments
  • Green - Events
  • Purple - School Holidays (I work in a school)
  • Orange - Notable dates
  • Yellow - Holiday/Day trips
Ideas Journal
I love using my Ideas Journal. When I'm inspired from other people, either on Instagram or Youtube I like to write the ideas in my Ideas Journal and use them when I feel like it. Its good because if I fancy a change in any of my planners I can just look in my Ideas Journal for ideas. Just a good memory system. Haha!

You notice in the picture that I highlight each idea. I have a colour coding system for it and it works so well.

Colour code for Ideas Journal:
  • Green - Organising/Planning
  • Blue - To print out
  • Pink - Projects/To do
  • Purple - To transfer to somewhere else
  • Yellow - Things to check out/research
  • Orange - Kids ideas

My head would explode if I never had an Ideas Journal.

My Filoflex set up
Grocery list & Weekly Meal plan
The Grocery list is from Hello Cuteness website. I love this free printable to write all the groceries I need weekly.

I'm sorry I can't remember where the Weekly Meal plan sheet is from. I know its a free printable though. You might be able to find it on my Pinterest somewhere.

Filoflex with Bullet Journal inside

The Flex Jotting pad is where I write down all my Journal prompts (just the questions). Then each week I answer one question from the list and gets answered in my 'Book of Lists' thick notebook. Then once I've answered it, it gets checked off from the Journal Prompt list in the Flex Jotting pad.

Monthly Calendar tucked in the pocket

Pens/sticky tape case tucked in other pocket

Great Tip: Use a bulldog clip to hold your pen!

Shopping list
I found this shopping list from freeprintablegrocerylist.com.

I keep shopping lists blanks clipped together with a bulldog clip and clipped in my Filoflex.
Then every week, one gets put onto my fridge.
Once filled out, goes into my Personal Filofax, ready to go buy.

My Bullet Journal Bookmarker :)

Well I hope you enjoyed reading :) I was going to post about my other idea of how to use the Filoflex but I'm going to save it for another Blog post. So please come back and check that post out!

Thank you for visiting!!!!

My Personal Filofax Set - Up

Finally, I've set up my Personal Filofax to be perfect! I have found that its now easier to use when I'm out and about.

So your in for a treat ...Grab a cup of tea and I just hope you enjoy reading and take some ideas away with you.

My Filofax is my baby; I'd be a hot mess without it, and my life would be in shambles.

Maybe I exaggerate. Maybe. But my life would definitely be more disorganized! - See more at: http://www.mylifeasateacup.com/2013/08/my-filofax-setup.html#sthash.srxSRcZa.dpuf

I use my Personal Filofax daily, its the one I carry everywhere with me. Also its the only one I take out and about. I wouldn't know what I'd do if I lost it! Eek! I just love to be organised!

I'm always changing the way I set - up my Filofaxes/Planners. The second I think "right I've got it!", I find a better way of how to be even more organised. Oh gosh! I have a list of never-ending ideas - thats why I keep an 'Ideas Journal'!

I have an Ideas Journal at the front of my A5 Filofax, but I've now also got one at the front of this Personal Filofax too. Same Colour coding system.

Right lets jump into the inisde of the Filofax! ..................

My Personal Filofax is nothing special (at the moment), its the Filofax Identity Personal Organiser in black.

I will want to upgrade to a more "not so cheap"  but "more colourful" Filofax.

So like most Filofaxes, it starts with the 'Dashboard'. I'm in love with my Dashboard, as I love all things floral. I just looked up patterns on pinterest and printed it off and laminated it myself. Then used a corner punch for the edges. I don't want much on my Dashboard at the moment. I just stuck sticky notes on there for now.

On the left side, in the pockets I keep magnet paper clips, sticky notes, cards, vouchers, and page markers.

I love how this Filofax has two pen loops. My pens are both BIC brands (which I adore), one black and one purple.

Brain dump page is from Limetreefruits

The next page, I have a Grocery list (I keep tons of copies of spares of everything in my Filofax storage binder), which is paper clipped to the back of the Dashboard.
Every week I put up a Grocery list on my Fridge and if there is anything I need in that week I write down on the list. Then when I do my weekly shopping, I take the Grocery list and put it in my Filofax, paper clipped at the back of the Dashboard.

Next page, I have a Brain dump page, which I use to write things I think of when I'm out (like ideas, reminders, notes). Then once I'm home (normally before I go bed) I write the things on the list in the right sections in my Filofax.

The wallet pocket is next in my Filofax which I keep photos and letters in.
At the back of the pocket is my 'Nightly Filofax Check List'.

Inspiration Happy page - which I have a quote on and some cute stickers.

I then have a Index page (just so I know whats in this Filofax).

This is the order...

Index:
1. Calendar
2. To Dos
3. Budget Plan
4. Meal Plan
5. A - Z List

I was thinking of adding a Blog section but I'm not too sure yet. I just have Blog ideas in the A - Z List section, under B (Obv).

On the back of the Index page, I have wrote a list of whats in my A - Z List section. Easy for me to know whats in there.

Okay....

The Top Tabs
  • Calendar
  • Today Book marker
  • Meal Plan
  • A - Z List Divider

The Side Tabs
  • To Dos
  • Budget Plan
  • A - Z tabs

Sections

Calendar

{I'm a visual person, I like to see my Monthly calendar in colour code and not much detail. Its just a quick month at a glance of appointments, events, birthdays and school holidays. The more detailed section is put onto my daily sheets or in my To Dos section.}

Monthly spread page from Limetreefruits

To Dos

  • To Dos Check List - Daily / Weekly / Monthly
  • Weekly Cleaning Rota on a Book marker (from Cleanmama)
  • Running to do list
  • To Do list (things I need to do this month)

{My Running to do list is everything I want to do, things that I might not get done into next year but still want them on the list to remember them. I take my 'Running to do list' and see what things I want to do for the day and add them on my daily sheet.}

Budget Plan

{On the divider (photo above) I have a Mason jar that I laminated together with the patterned paper. I use the Mason jar as a Money pot to write down (on a sticky note) how much I've saved. I update it every week of the amount so far I've saved. This amount should match the 'REAL' Money pot I have on the Kitchen counter.}

I have a paper clip on the top of the divider for receipts to attach to the back of.

  • Budget Planning To Do list
  • Shopping lists
  • Fly leaf page where I have 4 sticky notes and I write 4 different shops on each sticky. Then transfer the items from the shopping lists onto the sticky notes for the correct shop that I want to get the item from. This way when I go to a shop, I just take the sticky note off the page. Makes it alot easier.
  • Daily spent tracker
  • Monthly spent tracker (colour coded)
  • No spend - which I mark it off with 'dot stickers' for the month
  • Receipts

Expenses page from Limetreefruits

Meal Plan

  •  Meal Planning to do list
  • No Junk food month chart
  • Grocery check list
  • Weekly Meal Plan

Weekly meal plan from HelloCuteness

A - Z List

This section is different sorts of lists.
Example: Birthdays, Logins, Addresses, Gift list, Blog ideas etc...

Everything in this section is in order. (ex: Birthdays and Blog ideas are under B)

This makes it easier to find what your looking for.

I will be posting a list of the A - Z list in another post, to show you what I have put in there.

Brainstorm page from Stationera on Etsy

Ideas page from Stationera on Esty

In the back is a plastic wallet with sticky notes, dot it stickers, star stickers, page markers, and other stickers.

Also I have note paper in the pocket at the back. (I use it a lot to write things down and then file it in my A - Z list section.)

If I have missed any out you should be able to find them on my Pinterest.

Hope you have enjoyed reading. I would love to hear how you set up your Filofax.

Please comment below your blog (if you have one) for me to also look at :)

Take Care!!

I'm always changing what I want on my Daily insert sheet, as I'm always trying to find what works for me. I brought a few printables from Etsy and also found free printables on pinterest. I finally found what I wanted on the insert, before writing a list of things I wanted on there.

My Daily set up for my Personal Filofax

I've brought a Personal Filofax to use when I'm out and about. I'm still deciding the whole set up of it, but I decided on this daily insert from RogueCrusade on Etsy. She has loads of amazing printables. I also brought the Blog insert from her for my A5 Filofax.

I wanted to have the following on my daily sheet:
  • Meal Plan (gets added to my Food Journal weekly)
  • Reminders
  • Mood
  • Goal
  • 5 Fruit a day
  • Water drank
  • Money spent (gets added to my Budget plan in my A5 Filofax & Cash book)
  • Savings
  • To Dos
  • Ideas (which will get added to my Bullet journal ideas page)
  • One line a day Journal (so I can add to my 'One line a day' Book weekly)
I also might add somewhere to put my calories and weight on the page. Soon I want to start losing the baby weight and start a health planner :)

This is the set up of my daily sheet....

Free printables for Filofax or Planners

Here is a list of the free printables I use in my Filofax:

Please check out the free printables I have collected on Pinterest as well :)

How I organise my Filofax

My A5 Filofax & planner organiser pouch

Please note: This is going to be a super long post, so if you don't like planning and organising posts, don't say I didn't warn you :)

Hello again!
Today I thought it would be fun to share my ideas and how I organise my Filofax
I know we all organise different to suit our own needs and I've seen some wonderful ideas out there on Instagram, Pinterest and Youtube. I have had this Filofax for a year now and finally (after loads of changes over the year) I have organised it the perfect way for me. I don't tend to buy the Filofax inserts in the shops as they are not cheap for paper! That I can just print off myself from free websites and blogs. I love looking for free printables on Pinterest and so grateful for the people that designed them. I have found loads of different styles and found ones that suit me. I will link all the free printables at the end of this post so you know where to find them.

This is how I organise my Filofax in order (in detail & photos)...

When you open my Filofax, I keep an 'Ideas Journal' notebook inside, where I write down all ideas so I can remember them. I highlight them in colour code so I know what I'm looking at when I'm going back through the pages.

Colour code for Ideas Journal...
  • Green - Organising / Planning
  • Blue - To print out
  • Pink - Projects / To dos
  • Purple - To transfer to somewhere else (different notebook/Journal)
  • Yellow - Things to check out/Research
  • Orange - Kids ideas

Ideas Journal

I also keep a 'A6 Cash book' which I brought from this stationary shop online called Sticker stack. I was very happy with the way it was laid out for budgeting. I keep it up to date each month to track what I'm spending by using a daily spent tracker sheet, monthly tracker sheet and internet banking.

A6 Cash book

The First page in my Filofax (and probably other peoples Filofax) is my Dashboard and reminders bookmark. I labelled mine with my name and dashboard, and added few stickers and a photo of my son as a baby. I keep the dashboard for sticky post-it notes and page tags. The reminders bookmark I put sticky notes on there for quick things I need to remember, instead of flicking through my Filofax to find.
Reminders bookmark

My dashboard
Then the next pages after the dashboard...
  • A small zipped side pocket with dot-it stickers, star stickers and extra stickers.
  • A open top pocket with pretty card stock to use for pens that bleed through the pages and letter reminders. Also I sometimes keep Penpal letters I need to reply back to in there.
  • Another open top pocket with my 'Nightly Filofax checklist'.
Nightly Filofax checklist

I will do another post on my 'Nightly Filofax checklist'. Its basically things I need to do in my Filofax to keep it up to date. I do this every night before bed.

Next page after is the Filofax yearly calendar (kept from the actual Filofax itself).
I do have a colour code highlighted system for this.

Colour code:
  • Blue - Birthdays
  • Yellow - Events
  • Green - Appointments
  • Orange - Notable dates (which this page comes with the Filofax itself)
  • Pink - School holidays (As I work in a school I need to know days I get off work)
Next page after is a New year's resolutions sheet.

Now onto the Tabs I have on the side. I have 6 tab dividers to section off each subject.

  2. Diary
  3. Contacts
  4. Money
